March is Women’s History Month!

I’ve got some posts lined up that I hope are thought-provoking, inspiring, and informative … of course, with a few laughs interspersed.

Today’s post (as late as it is) is dedicated to talking about eating disorders, self-image, and self-esteem.

Although we all may vary in race, gender, age, and parental status, one thing we can agree on is that self-esteem and maintaining a healthy self-image play HUGELY into how we relate to ourselves and the world around us.

Knowing this, it should be no surprise that eating disorders are but one example of extremes taken in an effort to receive gratification, feel empowered, and/or receive validation.
