about.

“Until the lions have historians, tales of the hunt shall always glorify the hunters.”

Welcome to the Lion’s Historian!

My name is “dante.”

I am young.

I am genderqueer.

I am a poet. I am a storyteller. I like to pretend I am a musician.

This blog focuses mostly on social justice issues and recent happenings especially pertaining to gender, gender expression, LGBT equality, race, sex, sexual orientation, and women’s rights.

It’s also an opportunity for me to share my thoughts and ideas, and I invite you to dialog with me.

I update every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. All e-mails are answered directly by me, all opinions featured on this site are my own. All poetry, unless cited otherwise, is an original piece written by my own hand.

There’s a shit-ton of interesting stuff to take a peek at (if I do say so myself … and I do) —

I love documentaries, and the only thing better than watching a documentary is sharing it. Stop on by “The Documentary Experience” for write-ups on documentaries I’ve watched (I try to do at least one write-up per month).

Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t offer my favorites in LGBT literature. Be sure to visit the “LGBT Reading” section for my favorite literary picks.

If you’ve got a suggestion for a documentary, LGBT literature, or just wanna say hello, feel free to send me a message HERE
